Billy Idol Tickets
MTV paved the way for many artists in the early ‘80s and there is no arguing that the television format of heavily rotated music videos helped launch the career of rocker Billy Idol.
Mixing his bad-boy good looks with an appealing blend of pop sounds and punk attitude, Idol quickly hit the top of the charts. Idol was first on the scene as the front man of Generation X in 1976. The group released a self-titled debut in 1978 and in 1979 quickly followed up with Valley of the Dolls and eventually their final release, 1981's Kiss Me Deadly.
Idol issued a self-titled full length album in 1982 which included heavily rotated music videos for the tracks "White Wedding" and "Dancing With Myself." The debut set the stage for Idol's commercial breakthrough, 1984's Rebel Yell.
